Yesterday I was waiting for a group to emerge from the Sangres here in Colorado and my cell rang. A Mexican voice on the other end yelled, “David! David!”. In a moment I knew it was my friend Alberto from Cerrocaui in the heart of Copper Canyon.

With his good wife Francia, he runs a wonderful little cabana along the Copper Canyon train.

We have trips forming that will put you in touch with great folks like this…a rich cultural experience!

Copper Canyon…here we come!

Many of you are expressing interest in our CHEPE train excursions into this wonderful heartland of Mexico. Plans are for a trip the second week of November this fall and then more trips in the spring beginning in January. Each trip will include a delightful immersion into Sierra Madre culture as we stop day by day on our way from Chihuahua City to Los Mochis.
